Create Virtual Machine in Virt Manager

Create Virtual Machine in Virt Manager.

Prerequisites:

> CentOS 6.x / RHEL 6.x Bit 64 installed on Server
> Desktop X ( Gnome / Kde ) enabled in linux server.
> Make sure all KVM packages are installed in linux server

Steps to create virtual machine in Virt Manager:

> In Gnome Desktop click on Applications > System Tools > Virtual Machine Manager


> In Virtual Machine Manager window click on Create a new virtual machine ikon which I have marked in yellow color.


> In New VM window give the name for new virtual machine. Select Local install media (ISO image or CDROM) option. and click on Forward button.
Note: Make sure OS installation cd connected to Physical KVM server.


>  Select Use CDROM or DVD option. In OS type select operating system type like Linux / Windows. And also select OS version than click Forward tab to continue.



> In Choose Memory and CPU settings specify Memory (RAM): in MBs and No of CPUs: for virtual machine. Click Forward to continue.


> Click on Enable storage for this virtual machine option and define hard disk size in GB for virtual machine. Click on Forward button to continue.


> Click on Advanced options and select Network type. EG:- NAT or Bridge network. Click on Finish to continue.


> OS installation is started now on virtual machine.
